Getting to Milos
TRAVEL
The only way to get to Milos is via Athens (i.e., flying through Athens International Airport from the US). Once in Athens, you can travel to Milos via plane or ferry. Both work great; we recommend plane travel (quicker, easier and generally cheaper) unless traveling from another island.
There is a small domestic airport in Milos (MLO) with frequent flights from and to Athens (ATH). If you book early enough, flights can be cheaper than the ferries and it is quicker (30 minute flight).

GETTING AROUND MILOS
We definitely recommend renting a car while on Milos. Ideally a four-wheel drive, as some of the roads can be a bit less-than-paved. Below are some car rental agencies on the island:
You can also rent ATVs and motorcycles. One good thing about them is that you can park easily at popular beaches which sometimes have limited parking.
Taxis are usually parked close to the port, the airport, and the main streets of the island. They are the best option if you want to reach your destination quickly and easily, especially when you need to carry your heavy luggage.
You can book a taxi by calling any of the following numbers: +30(697)420.5605, +30(697)6938884, +30(694)5827039 or +30(228)702.2219
